Major cities within the UK are struggling to meet the demand for housing. One solution is ‘Modular Design’ – which offers innovative housing that provides both quality and affordability. Within each modular unit, of this development, has an iMist™ Watermist Fire Suppression system to ensure each home, and its occupants, are protected in the event of a fire.

Located within Reading, this project is comprised of 70 x 2, 3 & 4 bedroom dwellings that needed to be fully fire protected. Each home had been beautifully designed to benefit from an open plan layout, with our nozzles fitting subtly in the ceiling. iMist™ coordinated our engineering activities to fit with those of the modular factory. Our engineers completed some installation works on-site, whilst others were carried out at the developer’s UK factory.

This project started in 2020, and was completed as a phased construction, with final completion taking 3 years. iMist™ worked on this development throughout this time.
